The six-month test, conducted by the country's biggest selling dog interest publication Your Dog, rated a range of six collars for appearance, ease of use, comfort and durability. The Canny Collar came in joint second scoring four points out of a possible five. The magazine feature is further proof that this new breed of training device is a credible alternative to headcollars that have been around for many years, with the reviewers reporting that 'this was very effective and worked well; I have even recommended it to others'. |  | | The reviewers hadn't realised however that the clips attached to the D rings allowed the slip line straps to be tucked away neatly when the dog is off lead. Since the trials, this feature has now been improved further by the use of new carabiner type clips, which are easier to fasten. Canny Collar put to the test by 'Your Dog' magazine8 July 2005The Canny Collar is to be pitted against five other products designed to stop dogs pulling on the lead. Leading consumer magazine Your Dog is conducting trials over a six-month period and will report back around Christmas time on the results. After the initial assessment, the magazine has ranked the Canny Collar as highly as the UK market leader, reporting that 'the dog walked happily…and didn't shake his head or fight it once'. The reviewer also liked the fact that the Canny Collar allowed the dog to pant whilst in use. Sean McElherron, company managing director, is delighted by the magazine's initial response. 'It is enormously exciting that the Canny Collar, which has only been in production for little over a year, is rivalling long-established products.
