Care guide
Cleaning: To clean, rinse your lead and clip with fresh water to remove dirt, mud, or saltwater.
For stubborn grime, use mild soap or pet-safe detergent with a soft cloth or sponge.
Carabiner care: Unlike traditional spring-loaded trigger clips, our carabiners are designed with no exposed springs, making them more resistant to jamming from sand or grit.
If you do notice grit in the barrel mechanism, a quick shake or rinse will usually dislodge it.
Important: Avoid forcing the carabiner open if grit is present in the barrel. Forcing it can permanently affect the auto-lock function. Gently clean and shake it out first.
Drying: Pat dry with a clean towel or leave to air dry.
Storage: Store your lead in a dry place to keep it looking and performing its best.
Tips: Regularly check the clip, lead and stitching to ensure everything is intact and performing as it should.

We want to make sure that you love our products and that they make training your dog easy and fun. If you wish to return your order for any reason, please notify us within 48 hours of receipt. We allow 30 days for orders to be returned.
For any quality issues, please be sure to provide clear photos of the products on a flat, well-lit surface and include these when contacting us. This quick and simple step will help us provide a speedy resolution. If the products are in a new and fit for resale condition in the original packaging, we will happily offer an exchange or refund (less shipping costs).
Items to be exchanged may be subject to a restocking fee. Items must be in unused condition, clean, and free of pet hair/smell, with the original tag. Items requiring cleaning or removal of pet hair will be charged a £3 cleaning fee per item. Items that are worn, chewed, or damaged will not be accepted for return.
So that we can process your return more quickly, please enclose a printout of your e-mail receipt with your items. Return the goods to us using this form and please write 'returned item' on the package. If you have any queries regarding returns or refunds, please contact us using the details below.
Shipping charges
Shipping charges for all exchanges and refunds are the responsibility of the customer. Additional charges may apply if replacement items are priced higher than the original. For Canny Collars, please ensure you have ordered the correct size before use (see the page 'What Size Canny Collar') as the customer will be responsible for meeting the postage costs of any returns for an exchange of sizes. We will not be able to accept returns that are not fit for resale.

Despatch times
Orders received before our 1.00pm 'cut off time' will be despatched the same day and orders received after 1.00pm will be despatched the following working day. Orders received after 1.00pm Friday and over the weekend will be despatched at the first available opportunity which will be the following Monday.
Delivery times
For UK orders we offer a Parcelforce 24h express option (tracked)and standard 1st and 2nd class Royal Mail postage options. A Signed For® service for 1st and 2nd class post is available for an additional £1 fee.

Incorrect address
If the delivery address is not entered correctly by the customer, orders may be returned to us automatically. The Canny Company will not be responsible for the length of time it takes for the product to be returned, nor the cost of resending the item to the correct address, which will be re-invoiced to the customer before despatch.

What is the difference between the Standard and Connect leads?
The Standard version of the Canny Lead has a normal handle. The CONNECT version has a strong, plastic buckle which can be released to open the handle. This means you can hook this around a fixed point such as a lamppost without ever having to detach your dog from the lead.
By not having to release your dog, then hold your dog with one hand while trying to feed the lead through the handle with the other hand, then clip your dog back up, it keeps your dog tied to the lead at all times and secure.
Which size lead do I need for my Canny Collar?
The 15mm wide lead is designed to be used with Canny Collar sizes 1 & 2. The 25mm is designed for all other sizes including the Colossus.

We have been using Canny for a few years now. Stops our boisterous cockapoos from pulling when on the lead.
I purchased the canny collar for my 4 year old rescue Labrador, who was uncontrollable on the harness, I put the canny collar on her, and she immediately became so calm , a different dog, no objections to the collar, we had a lovely long walk that day, and have been doing it now for 2 weeks, everyone comments on her behavioural change I am 81 and walking is once more a joy.
Used the canny a number of different times on a variety of larger dogs where they pulled. Works a treat difficult to understand at first but once you understand it I won’t walk my dog without out. Pulls less and less stress on mine and my mums hands when walking him. Will always have this product
Quality collar and lead worked straight away when used correctly on my 9 month old giant schnauzer
My pup was pulling frequently in different scenarios so we decided to get a canny collar. Those situations where he pulls, when he wears the canny collar this has all gone. It really does work
14 years ago we had two Labrador puppies, they pulled like trains, we bought Canny Collars for them and the pulling stopped immediately, no pain or trouble, they just worked! Unfortunately we lost both our gorgeous boys last year. We now have two 9 month old Labrador puppies who, again, pull like trains. Once again Canny Collars came to the rescue. The pulling stopped immediately and the puppies have no problem wearing them. They are brilliant and we would, and do, recommend them to anyone.
I've got a 9 month old, 51kg central asian shepherd puppy. He was pulling me everywhere until the canny collar turned up. Took a couple of days for him to get use to it, but now he is a totally different dog. Walks properly and only now and again does he try to pull. Even off the lead, I leave the canny coller on ant tuck the ends under his collar so he thinks it's still on. Wonderful. With a potential weight of over 120kg, and the size of a donkey, I just hope the canny collar will still fit. Thank you so much for a wonderful collar. Made extremely well and worth every penny.
It is a work in progress and training is going well. Very happy with the way things are going so far.
Love these, got 2 so much better then head collar which I had, the canny collar is so much safer as my dogs got out of the head collars with these they don't.
This is a great head collar and although works slightly differently from other types of head collars, I have found it to be the most effective for my dog. When I got used to how it works I have found it to be the best one to use. She walks beautifully calm with it on her and it doesn't bother her being across her nose as the fabric is great because it is light but still strong. It's handy to have the clips so that when she is off lead, I can release the loop and clip it round her neck without having to remove the head collar completely. The delivery was fast and efficient, the staff friendly and helpful. I have been dealing with Emma and she has been brilliant with her advice and the video link she emailed me really helped. I feel relaxed taking my dog out knowing she is relaxed.
