Description
Gentle & kind design: Patented, behind-the-head design prevents riding up into your dog’s eyes or yanking of her neck. Won’t be confused with a muzzle.
Simple to fit & use: Fastens like a regular dog collar. Easy ‘pressure & release’ action gently trains your dog not to pull.
No restrictions: Self-adjusting, soft nose band adjusts to fit the shape of your dog's face so she accepts it easily. Single strap allows her to open her mouth, pant and breathe freely.
Safe for you both: Secure steel buckle won’t snap open. Lead attaches behind the head so your dog cannot paw it off and become loose.
Training, not restraining: Nose band ‘steers’ your dog’s head. Can be slipped off when not needed to train walking on a regular collar and lead.
No need to remove when off lead: Fasten the nose band under your dog’s chin with the included carabiner clips when letting your dog run free.

If your dog's neck measures more than 58cm, for larger dogs the Canny Colossus is the same design but with beefier, more heavy-duty fittings.

Care guide
Cleaning: To clean, rinse your Canny Collar with fresh water to remove dirt, mud, or saltwater.
For stubborn grime, use mild soap or pet-safe detergent with a soft cloth or sponge.
Drying: Pat dry with a clean towel or leave to air dry.
Storage: Store your collar in a dry place to keep it looking and performing its best.
Tips: Regularly check the noseband for signs of chewing if your dog has ever accidentally got it into his mouth. Check the buckle and stitching to ensure everything is intact and performing as it should.

Orders received before our 1.00pm 'cut off time' will be despatched the same day and orders received after 1.00pm will be despatched the following working day. Orders received after 1.00pm Friday and over the weekend will be despatched at the first available opportunity which will be the following Monday.

For UK orders we offer a Parcelforce 24h express option (tracked)and standard 1st and 2nd class Royal Mail postage options. A Signed For® service for 1st and 2nd class post is available for an additional £1 fee.

Incorrect address
If the delivery address is not entered correctly by the customer, orders may be returned to us automatically. The Canny Company will not be responsible for the length of time it takes for the product to be returned, nor the cost of resending the item to the correct address, which will be re-invoiced to the customer before despatch.

Returns and refunds
We want to make sure that you love our products and that they make training your dog easy and fun. If you wish to return your order for any reason, please notify us within 48 hours of receipt. We allow 30 days for orders to be returned.
For any quality issues, please be sure to provide clear photos of the products on a flat, well-lit surface and include these when contacting us. This quick and simple step will help us provide a speedy resolution. If the products are in a new and fit for resale condition in the original packaging, we will happily offer an exchange or refund (less shipping costs).
Items to be exchanged may be subject to a restocking fee. Items must be in unused condition, clean, and free of pet hair/smell, with the original tag. Items requiring cleaning or removal of pet hair will be charged a £3 cleaning fee per item. Items that are worn, chewed, or damaged will not be accepted for return.
So that we can process your return more quickly, please enclose a printout of your e-mail receipt with your items. Return the goods to us using this form and please write 'returned item' on the package. If you have any queries regarding returns or refunds, please contact us using the details below.
Shipping charges
Shipping charges for all exchanges and refunds are the responsibility of the customer. Additional charges may apply if replacement items are priced higher than the original. For Canny Collars, please ensure you have ordered the correct size before use (see the page 'What Size Canny Collar') as the customer will be responsible for meeting the postage costs of any returns for an exchange of sizes. We will not be able to accept returns that are not fit for resale.

What if I order the wrong size?
No problem. Providing you purchased the collar from our website and return it to us within 7 days in a new and resaleable condition, we will exchange it for you. Simply return your collar to us along with a printout of this form and we'll do the rest.
How do the sizings work on the Canny Collar & Colossus?
Since dogs, like humans, come in all shapes and sizes, it’s important to measure your dog's neck snugly to ensure you have the correct size. As your dog's neck can sometimes be hard to measure accurately (especially if there is a lot of fur), we have designed the collar so that each size overlaps with the sizes above and below, so there is some flexibility when choosing your size.
Once you have your collar fitted, it's advisable to test first in your garden or house to ensure it cannot come off over her head.
What if my dog is exactly between two sizes?
If your dog is exactly borderline between two sizes, we generally recommend getting the smaller size of the two options. If you have a puppy however, it may be worth waiting a month or so and buying the larger size.

I was recommended to try this by a customer in Pets at Home who, like us, has a highly exuberant cocker spaniel. Walking our puppy was not easy and the constant pulling was very tiresome and exhausting! However, the Canny Collar has changed it completely! It is now a pleasure to take him for a (very calm) walk. Really well made, great colour (red), little bit tricky to master getting it on at first (plus doesn't help having an excitable puppy) but once on, he accepted it quickly and like another reviewer, only tries to pull it off if he lays down. I bought this to help walk my 8 months old lab puppy. Walking him on a standard lead was like having a toddler on a bungee cord. I bought the canny collar on a dog trainers advice and it's brilliant. Getting Shep into the collar properly was tricky at first but now he is used to it he walks beautifully. I have health issues and walking him before the canny collar was exhausting. Now I can walk him for twice as long with very little effort. If you are purchasing one go a size smaller because they need to be a snug fit. (Shep after a long walk)
We absolutely LOVE The Canny Company head collars. We had the size 2 when Floki was a puppy and it was brilliant to reduce pulling. As he has gotten older and bigger, we could see a difference in his strength and the effectiveness so we remeasured him and bought him a new size and, as always, is performing brilliantly! The Canny collar has helped me and my dog a lot as he used to pull like a steam train on walks and i used to struggle walking him till i found a canny collar in the local charity shop and I've been doing a lot of training with him with regards to pulling and reacting to dogs and now i can walk him with no issues and it ensures i can still take him out for walkies once i've had my hip operation.

I purchased a Canny Collar to hopefully help us train our rescue Border Collie walk nicely without pulling our arms off , I have to admit , it works , he still pulls a bit , but nothing like he used to . I was a bit sceptical at first , but now I’m a convert. It makes training him more pleasurable.

The no pull collar is excellent but I have to pay a hefty sum for custom clearance because zero value invoice for own used was not attached.

Good quality harness and well made. I like the fact that if the dog starts to pull, the nose band tucks the chin down towards the chest which is less dangerous than many head collars which jerk the head sideways and can jar the neck. Easy to put on and adjust. I have an OES, weight 27kg, and she measured on the edge of size 4/5. I choose the size 4 as recommended but had to change it for the size 5 as I felt that was more secure with being able to tuck in the collar point securely plus allow for any slight growth as she is an adult puppy. Very happy with the exchange process, quick and no quibbling.

Great collar for an exuberant one year old retriever to control the pulling.
I do however find it all a bit faffy when you take the nose piece off to try and wrap it round and use the attachments hence the 4 stars

I have a 6 month old Akita who would pull on his lead. After using a canny collar over 20 years ago with my German Shepherd, I decided to try it again this time round. What a game changer.
